Mission report: to participate in the follow-up committee meeting for the implementation of the railway component of the SSATP

Abstract

The railway component of SSATP started in with a workshop for railway managers - organized jointly by ECA and the World Bank in Brazzaville in November 1988. A committee was formed to follow-up progress in the implementation of recommendations of the workshop which were to cover Preparation of agreements between governments and railways; Development of costing models for railways; Promotion of marketing techniques; and Improvement of railway maintenance.
