Proposed programme of work and priorities for the biennium 1984-1985
Abstract
The work programme of the science and technology unit for the biennium is contained in the document entitled “Economic Commission for Africa” programme of work and priorities for 1984-1985. The objective of the secretariat in the implementation of the work programme is to organize and promote a strategy not only to encourage the wide-spread recognition in the African region of the role of science and technology in African development but also to strengthen individually and through cooperation at the intra and extra African levels the indigenous capabilities of member states to apply science and technology to development.
