Strengthening human resources capabilities within the transport and communications sectors in Africa: terminal report

Abstract

The project aimed to enhance human resources management capabilities within the Transport and Communication Sector in Africa through a series of workshops and seminars. Initially, the objectives included conducting four subregional workshops and one regional workshop for senior transport managers. These goals were exceeded, with six subregional workshops, one regional workshop, and two regional seminars successfully organized. Key output included three comprehensive reports: (1) a consolidated report on the subregional workshops (TRANSCOM/491, March 1991), (2) a report on the regional workshop (E/ECA/TCD/82, May 1991), and (3) reports from two senior regional seminars (E/ECA/TCD/84 and E/ECA/TCD/85, February 1992).
