Abstract
At the last conference of African statisticians approval was also given to a household survey capability programme (HSCP).funding for this programme has so far not been secured and the regional advisers of the ACP have had to deal with the demographic survey competent of that programme in addition to their normal duties pending the formal start of the HSCP.
