Terms of reference of the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (ECA) include inter-alia assisting African member states in all social economic fields. Not least of these is expanding traditional and non-traditional trade opportunities. In other words, helping them with the process of restructuring their own economies in order to accelerate the rate of economic development and growth.
