Abstract

Perhaps the topic of principal interest in this issue of the Newsletter is the means of implementing the resolution on statistics adopted by the EGA tenth session in February. The resolution envisages early introduction throughout the region of the revised UN System of National Accounts and other internationally recommended statistical systems, speedier distribution of data and the publication of provisional estimates of key national accounts aggregates at the end of each year.
