Statistical newsletter

Abstract

The present issue of the Statistical Newsletter contains a brief report on some eleven technical assignments undertaken by regional statistical advisers during the second quarter of the year. The only meeting serviced by the Research and Statistics Division during this period was the third session of the Conference of African Planners; this will be reported in the July issue of the Planning Newsletter. The preparation of the new Statistical Yearbook for Africa is now making more rapid progress. It is expected that all six parts of the first issue will be sent for reproduction before the end of the year.
