The discussions of the conference covered a great deal of practical detail and a number of significant factor emerged one of these was the general feeling that governments of the regional still do not attach enough importance to statistics as a basis for the planning of development efforts this is undoubtedly true but it would be unreasonable to assign all the blame to planning and others government agencies using data.
