Abstract
The Economic Commission for Africa has learnt with great sadness, the passing away of Joachim Schmidt, German Ambassador to Ethiopia and to the African Union. Ambassador Schmidt started his tour of duty in Addis Ababa in July 2014 and served the diplomatic and development community with commitment and dedication.
