This document focuses on the survey of economic conditions in Africa, 1970 (part II). The 1970 Survey is the fifth in a continuing series of annual commentaries on economic conditions in Africa. The following Part II of the 1970 Survey continues the practice - introduced with the 1969 Survey - of supplementing the analysis of the current economic situation of Part I with a wider-ranging study of particular important topics relevant to African economic development.
