Report of a mission to the United Nations institute for Namibia

Abstract

The mission to the United Nations Institute for Namibia (hereafter referred as UNIN or the Institute) was undertaken by Dr. M.J. Balogun, Regional Adviser, PAMMD, at the request of the Institute between 24 and 30 October 1987. Following the directive by the Senate of the Institute that the departmental structure should be streamlined to promote operational efficiency, the management of UNIN approached the ECA for assistance in the area of job analysis and job description. This, it was felt, would not only ensure that the jobs carried out at the Institute accorded with the newly approved organization structure, but would also provide a rational basis for the classification and grading of posts.
