Training and employment oppotunities for out-of-school girls in Ethiopia

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to assess skill training and employment opportunities through non-formal education for out-of-school girls in Ethiopia. Such training can be given by government and/or private organizations. This paper does not attempt to cover all the non-formal education programmes which exist in Ethiopia Rather, it gives an overview of institutions which prepare out-of-school girls for employment opportunities with emphasis on several selected case studies.
