Senegal to launch three key ECA publications in Dakar

A high-level meeting to launch three of the Economic Commission for Africa’s key publications will be held at the African Institute for Economic Development and Planning (IDEP). The publications are Senegal’s Country Profile, the Economic Report on Africa 2016 titled: "Towards Green Industrialization in Africa" and the 2016 African Governance Report entitled: "Measuring Corruption in Africa: the International Dimension Matters". Senegalese Minister of the Economy, Finance and Planning, Mr. Amadou Ba, will officially launch the publications. He says Senegal is proud to be associated with the ECA, in particular its work on the structural transformation of African economies. The meeting to launch the publications will also allow participants to discuss Africa’s economic situation and the state of governance on the continent, discuss the outcome of the thematic analysis on the diversification of Senegal's exports, industrialization of Africa through the green economy, measuring and dealing with corruption, among other issues.
