A Ministerial Breakfast Discussion Opportunity Africa: Partnerships for Green and Inclusive Growth in Africa. In recent times, Africa has not only made great strides in achieving high levels of economic growth, but also managed to keep growth stable at above 5%, despite declines in global growth performance. There are challenges of weak institutional frameworks for inclusive distribution of national income as well as near-static levels of productivity growth. ECA has in the past decade been coordinating UN system support for AU and its NEPAD programme at both the regional and sub-regional levels, with very good results. The lesson learnt is that partnerships are essential for minimum-cost delivery of development assistance.
