The main vision on capacity building in Africa is focusing on promoting regional development through thriving and integrated
national economies, a functional public sector and vibrant non-state sector. More specifically, the objectives of capacity development
include the following:
Creating capable institutions that should minimally deliver three core functions, such as administrate efficiently and with a
minimal bureaucracy; control corruption, and maintain transparency and accountability.
