Workshop to build coherence into joint programming at the sub-regional level

Abstract

The Economic Commission for Africa will hold a workshop on strengthening sub-regional coordination in support of the African Union and the New Partnership for Africa’s Development from 30 September 2015 to 1 October 2015 in Nazareth, Ethiopia. This will be part of a series of workshops aimed at building coordination capacity for the implementation of Africa’s transformation agenda. The purpose of this workshop is to develop a framework for strengthening coordination capacity at the sub-regional levels and enhancing coordination among partners, including the African Union Commission (AUC), the New Partnership for Africa’s Development Agency (NEPAD), the Regional Economic Commissions (REC), International Governmental Organizations (IGOs), UN organizations and agencies in support of the African Union and its priorities including the NEPAD Programme.
