The United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA), together with the Government of Senegal, will organize on June 4, 2015 in Dakar the ceremony to launch the Economic Report on Africa 2015. The report, which distills key messages, underlines the role of trade in the promotion of industrialization, at the regional and global levels and the importance of the implementation of trade policies aiming mainly at overcoming the deficiencies of the market and the institutional obstacles which hold back the competitively of African exports. To summarize, it examines in detail how trade can serve as an instrument to accelerate industrialization and structural transformation in Africa.
