Speech delivered by Hon. Keith Mukata. Mp. The Deputy Minister of Justice on behalf of the acting President of The Republic of Zambia Hon Edgar C. Lungu, Mp. at the Workshop on the Harmonization of the national programme of action of the African peer review mechanism in to national development structures and strategies. Hon. Mukata, on his remarks highlighted that, APRM is not only a unique African initiative nut comprehensive and demanding process, which involves all governance institutions including government agencies, civil society, private sector, trade unions, academia, the media and all other relevant stakeholders. It is a process that examines sensitive political, economic and social issues and challenges with the aim of finding solutions to meet citizens’ aspirations and their human development needs. One of APRM’s unique features is that it requires the effective participation of all stakeholders in the country both at the national and sub national levels. It provides opportunities for country to learn from each other.
