Realization of the objectives of a national's socio-economic development programmes depends on availability and speedy access to Geospatial Information (GI) through provision of relevant infrastructures for data acquisition, processing, standardization and sharing. Geospatial Information (GI) are much a part of a nation's infrastructure as its other elements such as the transportation network, health care system, telecommunication and should therefore be accorded the same level of support and priority because they provide information on the geography of the country in terms of her assets and potentials (Kufoniyi, 2004, GSDI, 2004). Increase in sharing and better access to high quality GI data would lead to efficient management of a nation's natural resources and environment, resulting in the improvement of the quality of life of the people.
