Report on ECA's Activities in the area of science, technology since the second meeting of the committee on development information, science and technology

Abstract

This report covers the main activities implemented since the second meeting of the Committee on Development Information, Science and Technology (CODIST-II). The report focuses on ECA science and technology programme which aims at developing the capacity of member States to formulate and implement appropriate gender-sensitive science, technology and innovation policies and programmes to achieve sustainable socio-economic development. Activities reported include technical and advisory support for science, technology and innovation (STI) policy formulation, knowledge sharing and networking, business development services, among others, at national, sub-regional and regional level.
