Abstract
This report summarizes the outcomes of the Ad-hoc Interagency Consultation on the follow-up of Chapter 35 of Agenda 21, focusing on 'Science for Sustainable Development,' held at UNESCO in March 1994. The meeting aimed to enhance inter-agency cooperation and establish priorities for implementing Chapter 35, which emphasizes the critical role of science in sustainable development. Key discussions included the need for interdisciplinary approaches, the integration of science and technology, and the importance of indigenous knowledge. Participants identified priority areas such as capacity building in science, communication of scientific knowledge, and the necessity for enhanced donor assistance
