This report relates to a mission undertaken by the ECA Sampling Adviser, Mr. J. O. Onsembe and Trade Statistician, Mr. E. F. Ching' anda, to The Gambia. Mr. Onsembe's mission was from 22 August to 6 September 1991, while Mr. Ching'anda's mission was from 29 August to 8 September due to other earlier commitments he had to fulfill. The objective of the mission was to conduct a national training course on Census Evaluation and Statistical Quality Control for technical staff of the Central statistics Department (CSD) who will be closely involved in the 1993 Population and Housing Census. The course was organized under the census project, RAF /88/P03 - Census Training Programme in Sub-Saharan Africa.
