Report on mission to Sierra Leon (16-24 April 1985)

Abstract

The mission was undertaken at the request of the Government to advise and assist in the census preparatory activities. The next population census enumeration is expected to be conducted in December 1985 and pre-enumeration activities are in progress. A number of missions have been undertaken in connection with that census. These include my mission in November 1984, two missions by the ECA Regional Adviser in Cartography in August/September 1984 and February/March 1985 and a mission by the Chief, Statistics Division, ECA in January 1985.
