Report on a mission to the Democratic Republic of the Sudan(7-13 December 1980)

Abstract

The document focuses on the mission was undertaken to discuss and offer advice on the arrangements being made for the 1982 census of Sudan. The mission included a trip to Juba in Southern Sudan to assess the facilities available for the census and to stress the importance of the various phases of the census programme, in particular the preparatory activities. In the course of the mission, I had discussions with the persons listed in the Annex to whom I wish to express my appreciation fer their assistance and co-operation.
