Report on a mission to Swaziland (23-30 April 1987)

Abstract

The second population census of Swaziland was conducted during, August 1966 and the Census Office is now involved in the post enumeration activities. The manual editing of the census returns has been completed. Coding of data has been taken up from eerily April 1987 and is still in progress. Data entry, the next stage of work, is the major concern at present. During the TPR meeting held in March 1987 the status and the future plan of post census activities were discussed. In his mission report Mr. Chanda who attended the meeting, estimated the data entry workload at about 65 operator-months. The recruitment of a UNV(data processing )was recommended by the meeting but apparently the government has not yet found a suitable candidate for the post.
