Inventory of studies related to water resources in the subregion

Abstract

The West African sub region data and studies on water resources, in particular underground water and water quality are still fairly rare to users. Certain intergovernmental organizations such as the Inter-African Committee for Hydraulic Studies, the Niger Basin Authority and others have in recent years set up documentation centers whose primary role is to collect and index, all documentation on water studies. This information note will concern itself only with the few IQOs from Which the necessary information on inventories prepared in the sector has been obtained. The role of the center is first to collect, index and subsequently circulate any documentation of interest to the economic development of the Niger river basin.
