Report on a Mission to Nigeria (10-24 October 1987) By Raj Roop Tripathi Regional Adviser in Census Cartography Statistics Division. Mr. Tripathi on is mission report highlighted that, the mission to Lagos was undertaken at the request of UNFPA and the Government of Nigeria during 10-25 October 1987. The mission partly overlapped with that of Messrs. The cartographic work aimed to accomplish the above mentioned tasks was launched in 1983 in all the states simultaneously. The main map outputs of the cartographic work completed so far comprise: 1) field prepared EA and SA sketch maps, ii) EA and SA boundary descriptions, iii) Base maps (topo -sheets) showing EA boundaries incorporated in the office and iv) fairly drafted transparencies of EA and SA sketch maps.
