Abstract
There has been an apparent increase in population of 45.7 percent since 1959, but after making allowance for immigration and undercounting at the 1959 census it is considered that the natural increase of the Uganda population has been around 3.0 percent per annum. The estimated 1971 population is 10,127,000, which assumes a population growth rate of about 3.3 percent.
