Abstract
Secretary-General Boutros Boutros-Ghali convene the Second Meeting between the United Nations and Regional organizations on cooperation in peace-making, peacekeeping and other fields at united Nations Headquarters in New York from 15 to 16 February 1996. In addition, the meeting will consider cooperation with regard to preventive diplomacy and post-conflict peacebuilding. Thirteen regional organizations, as well as the President of the General Assembly, Diogo Freitas Do Amaral (Portugal), and the President of the Security Council for the month of February, Madeleine Albright (United States), are expected to attend.
