Secretary- general congratulates people and leaders of Mozambique on Successful election

Abstract

The statement by Secretary-General Boutros Boutros-Ghali made on 19 November following the proclamation of the results of the elections in Mozambique, held from 27 to 29 October. The secretary-General on his statement said that the people of Mozambique have exercised their right of voting in the presidential and parliamentary elections in a calm and peaceful atmosphere. The chairman of the National elections commission has today announced the results of the elections.
