Report of the secretary -general on the United Nations Angola verification mission (UNAVEM II)

Abstract

This report is submitted pursuant to Security Council Resolution 945 (1994) of 29 September 1994, in which the Council decided to extend the mandate of the United Nations Angola ,Verification Mission (UNAVEM II) until 31 October 1994, and requested me to ensure that the Council was kept informed of the progress of the talks in Lusaka, as well as on the military and humanitarian situation in Angola. The Council also requested me to submit a report to it by 20 October 1994. The report reflects the situation as of 20 October 1994 and includes the-relevant findings of Mr. Jonah's mission.
