The Government of the Republic of Korea and ECA establish new cooperation fund for African Development. During a special ceremony, which took place at Africa Hall this morning, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Government of the Republic of Korea and the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (ECA) concerning the establishment of the Korea-ECA Cooperation Fund. ECA is to administer the fund under the financial regulations and rules of the United Nations. The Acting Executive Secretary emphasized that the establishment of the Korea-ECA cooperation Fund is an example of the move from words to concrete deeds.
