UNECA hosts seminar on democracy in Africa

Abstract

Representatives from African Trade Union movements, UNECA member States, and a host at international organizations gather for a five-day seminar on Democracy and Popular Participation in Africa to sensitize the region of the role at trade unions in a continent which is just beginning to embark upon a historic experience under democratic systems of government with all that the concept entails for good governance, the social conscience of the whole continent as well as economic development.
