TEPCOW opens in Africa hall

Abstract

The preparatory committee of the whole (TEPCOW) that economic growth in the region for 1993 stood at 1 per cent denoting that the overall annual GDP growth rate for the period 1990-1993 is now 1.3 percent. That amounts to a yearly fall in per capita output of 1.7 percent, which figure indicated that the uninterrupted decline in living standards ushered in by the 1980s has continued into the 1990s.
