United Nations Secretary General message to the Association of Former International Civil Servants on the occasion of its 25th anniversary, 16 May 1995

Abstract

Since its establishment in 1970, AFICS has been fortunate to benefit from the leadership of 11 presidents that have helped shape the policies and approach of both your association and the United Nations in its world-wide activities. Many were among the famous "MOHICANS" who joined the United Nations at its inception. In this fiftieth anniversary year of the United Nations it is particularly fitting that we also mark the twenty-fifth anniversary of the association of former international civil servants (AFICS).
