Abstract
The new representative of FAO presents his credentials to the acting executive secretary. Mr. Gana Diagne, the new Representative of the Food and Agriculture organization of the United Nations (FAO) in Ethiopia presented today his credentials to Mr. Makha D. Sarr, Acting Executive Secretary of the ECA at Africa Hall. Mr. Gana Diagne conveyed, on the occasion, to the head of ECA an assurance of cooperation between FAO and ECA from Mr. Jacques Diouf, Director General of FAO. In a special letter handed over to Mr. M.D. Sarr, the FAO's Director General stated that the close cooperation between FAO and ECA would continue in the interest of Africa, despite the recent dissolution of the Joint ECA/FAO Agriculture Division (JEFAD). The Director General emphasized that a sectorial assistance to ·ECA will continue through the Regional Offices based in Accra and in Harare and that as such there are broaden know how to call on.
