Abstract
This press release presented on the fourth world conference on women Beijing-China September 1995. The platform for action: 12 critical areas of concern. The draft platform for action lists 12 "critical areas of concern". These are areas identified as obstacles to the advancement of women. The platform offers corresponding strategic objectives and actions to be taken by governments, the international community, .Non-Government al Organizations and the private sector for the removal of the existing obstacles. The platform for - action provides normative guidance for governments who bear the primary responsibility for implementing its strategic objectives.
