Report of technical support to the National educational planning seminar for educational administrators, planners, curriculum development personnel and teacher educators on the orientation of educational policies, programmes and practices : Msimbazi centre, Dar es Salaam Tanzania 15-27 February 1988

Abstract

The Seminar on Educational Planning was planned and organized by the Institute of curriculum Development in collaboration with the German foundation for International Development(DSE) and the technical support of the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa(ECA). The general objective of the seminar was to enable personnel involved in decision making, planning, administration v and implementation to become more aware of the complex nature of educational planning and to better appreciate the interdependence of their roles. The specific objectives were to enable participants to: appreciate the importance of national, policies and educational objectives in educational planning, implementation and evaluation; discuss approaches to educational planning and alternatives to be made; appreciate the impact, of educational policy decisions on curriculum planning and development.
