Report of the seminar on planning for crime prevention and criminal justice in the context of development: (Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, 3 to 12 June 1987)

Abstract

The fist seminar on Planning for Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice in the context of Development was held at Africa Hall, in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. It was organized for the African English speaking countries by the United Nations African Institute for the prevention of crime and the treatment of offenders (UNAFRI) with the participation of the Economic Commission for Africa (ECA) in collaboration with the Organization of African Unity (OAU) and with funding from the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). Substantive collaboration was provided by the United Nations Centre for social development and Humanitarian Affairs and by the United Nations regional integration institutes for the prevention of crime and the treatment of offenders.
