About 150 representatives of UN agencies and regional organizations working in Africa will meet in Addis Ababa on 14-15 November to chart a course for synergizing operations to strengthen the quality of services the world body provides the African Union and its NEPAD Programme. It would be the 11th such meeting in the framework of the Regional Coordination Mechanism (RCM-Africa). The two-day meeting of the RCM-Africa, which begins November 14, brings together high level officials and representatives of UN system agencies and organizations, the African Union Commission (AUC), the NEPAD Coordinating and Planning Agency (NPCA), Regional Economic Communities (RECs) and other international development partners and regional and sub-regional organizations. It will be co-chaired by Dr. Asha-Rosa Migiro, the Deputy Secretary-General of the UN and the Deputy Chairperson of the African Union, Mr. Erastus Mwencha.
