The African Trade Policy Centre (ATPC) of the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (ECA), is hosting a “Training Seminar on Market Analysis Tools for Trade Flow Analysis and Modelling Trade Negotiations Outcomes” from 26 – 30 April in Dakar, Senegal. The Training programme was jointly developed with the African Institute for Economic Development and Planning (IDEP), based in Dakar, where the workshop is taking place. Mr. Stephen Karingi, the Chief of Trade and International Negotiations at ECA opened the seminar on behalf of Mr. Abdoulie Janneh, United Nations Under-Secretary General and Executive Secretary of ECA. He reiterated the commitment of ECA through the ATPC to continue building the necessary skills and capacities among African countries and RECs to ensure that Africa moves from being a peripheral partner to a key player in international trade.
