Abstract

Since 2008, AMU had been pursuing a multi-year cooperation programme with ECA-NA. The programme fell within the context of the ECA repositioning exercise which had started in 2006 and which had gone on to accord priority to the forging of synergies between ECA’s subregional offices and the regional economic communities (RECs). In pursuit of that objective, ECA-NA had endeavored to forge partnerships not only with other RECs but also with the entire United Nations system of agencies, funds and programmes and other international development partners.
