Abstract
The Republic of South Africa is hosting the 57th Session of the International Statistical Institute (ISI) 2009, from 16 – 22 August in Durban, South Africa. This is the first time in the history of ISI - which stretches back to 1885 - that this premier event for statisticians world-wide is being hosted in sub-Saharan Africa in Addis Ababa, 06 August 2008 (ECA).
