ECA library partners with Ethiopia reads on training of librarians

Abstract

The United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (ECA) in collaboration with Ethiopia Reads, an international Non-Governmental Organization that supports the development of Libraries, organized a three-day skills training aimed at building the capacity of over 80 library staff from around the country. According to Ethiopia Reads, most of the staff that participated in the training had no background in library work prior to their current positions. Mr. Roskey therefore underscored that the meeting and learning from ECA Librarians was both inspirational and motivating to the staff working for the libraries that Ethiopia Reads supports.”
