Abstract
The major objective of the proposed document is to gather and analyze information on the effectiveness of the microcredit facility in helping to promote women’s access to employment in Algeria. This document t is part of a compendium related to good practices, and it offers examples of what different actors in different parts of the African continent are doing to address the diverse gender equality and women empowerment issues that prevent women and men from enjoying the full range of their rights and the highest possible level of well-being based on available resources. This compendium is not intended to evaluate the progress achieved, but to track the most striking and sustainable examples in gender mainstreaming.
