A meeting of experts to advance Africa’s anti-corruption agenda has called for “concerted action in the battle against corruption and a strategic, multi-faceted approach that brings on board multiple actors and stakeholders.” The experts are reflecting on their role in advancing the continent’s anti-corruption agenda in an event entitled: “Stakeholders Meeting on the Regional Anti-Corruption Program for Africa.” The meeting is organized by the ECA in collaboration with Africa Union Advisory Board on Corruption (AUABC). Participants discussed among other things, how to actualize the objectives of the ECA/AU Regional Anti-Corruption Program, which seeks, in a systematic and methodological way, to address the growing problem of corruption on the continent by engaging key stakeholders at national, sub-regional and Regional levels. The meeting brings together researchers, civil society representatives, private sectors and government officials and bilateral and multilateral agencies representatives.
