Stakeholders to consult on financing sustainable development

The key objective of the meeting is to discuss and articulate clear priorities and key messages on sustainable development financing, from Africa’s perspective, for consideration by the Committee at its Fourth Session to be held from 12 to 16 May 2014. The priority issues within the themes will be financing regional infrastructure and industrial Development; financing for climate change and green growth in Africa; improving domestic resource mobilization; and management of external financing. The target is to have at least one government representative from each African Least Developing Country (LDC) and a mixture of non-State actors from major groups such as women, children and youth, indigenous people, Non-Governmental Organizations, local authorities, workers and trade unions, business and industry, science and technology community, and farmers across all African LDCs.
