The Executive Secretary of the Economic Commission for Africa, Mr. Carlos Lopes has been named one of this year’s 100 most influential Africans in the Pan African Publication, New African Magazine. Responding to the annual end of year honor roll on social media, Mr. Lopes said he was honored to make the list amongst great company and talent. “One of my definitions of influence is to feed peoples thoughts and start a chain of intervention of active citizens throughout the world,” he said on hisFacebook page. The publication honored Mr. Lopes alongside other African personalities, including the Chairperson of the African Union, Madame Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma and Mr. Donald Kaberuka, President of the African Development Bank.
