Ato Girma Birru Minister of Economic Development and Cooperation (MEDAC) Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia at the opening session of the seventeenth meeting of the technical preparatory committee of the whole (TEPCOW). Ato Girma, on his remarks highlighted that, the renewal of ECA and its re-orientation in new strategic directions is, without doubt, a most compelling item on the agenda of this session and the subsequent Conference of Ministers. The three elements of ECA's renewal excellence, cost effectiveness, and effective partnerships have Ethiopia's full endorsement. An organization imbued with these elements can only serve our interests well. The NEP has played a vital role in defining the role of the state !n the economy; promoting domestic and foreign investment; enhancing public involvement In development; mobilizing external resources; and involving regional administrative organs in economic management. | en |
