Dr. Negaso, on his remarks highlighted that, ADF 2000 is the second in the series and is devoted to addressing the HIV/ AIDS challenge to development. This Forum is held at a crucial moment when the HIV/ AIDS epidemic is wreaking havoc to our human and material resources; He says. HIV/ AIDS has made us more vulnerable than others because of the nature of the African political economy, we all must take responsibility for exploring more effective ways and means of tackling the problem. Many African countries have already developed national strategies and programmes aimed at preventing the spread of HIV/ AIDS.en
